Most Taglit-Birthright Israel participants leaving on US and Canadian departures have the option of extending their ticket to remain in Israel beyond the program. Extending will only be possible once Oranim has notified you that you have been ticketed on a specific flight.

We highly recommend that you extend you stay prior to leaving the US or Canada since all seats are subject to availability. Summer tourism is expected to be extremely high in Israel and seats are not readily available for many dates. Oranim cannot offer any assistance before or after your trip in extending your flight.

If your group is traveling on Air Canada, Continental, Delta, El Al, Iberia, Lufthansa, or Malev Airlines, you have two options to extend your trip:

• Option 1: Arrange your extension with Gil Travel directly on their website at http://www.giltravel.com/extensionsinfo.htm prior to leaving for your trip. Extensions are not handled by telephone - please do not contact Gil Travel by phone.

• Option 2: Wait and extend your ticket while on your trip in Israel. Your Tour Guide will have the necessary airline contact information on your bus. This option, however, does not guarantee you'll be able to extend your ticket within your availability.

Details related to each airlines' specific fees are outlined below (these details are subject to change without notice - Oranim is not liable for any changes):

* While these airlines allow you to extend your ticket when you are in Israel, availability will be very limited. If you have a specific date you need to return by, we urge you to arrange your extension ahead of time via Gil Travel as described in Option 1.

If your group is traveling on Israir Airlines, you have two options to extend your trip:

• Option 1: Arrange your extension prior to departure from the US directly with Israir.

• Option 2: Wait and extend your ticket while on your trip in Israel. Your Tour Guide will have the necessary airline contact information on your bus. This option, however, does not guarantee you'll be able to extend your ticket within your availability.

	Please complete the Request for Extension Form and email it directly to BRIextensions@israirusa.com. They will respond to your e-mail within 48-72 hours. Download Israir Request for Extension Form Israir tickets permit Taglit-Birthright Israel participants to stay in Israel for a maximum of 90 days beyond your departure date from USA. Please note that every effort will be made to confirm one of your requested dates. Israir does not have daily flights therefore you should view their flight schedule in their website, Israirairlines.com for the dates of your request. They will try to confirm your request in the order that you have noted on the extension application. If none of your requested dates are available, you will be informed by email. Once one of your requested extension dates has been confirmed you will be charged automatically $75 USD from your credit card. If you change your mind and decide not to take this return date, your new return flight will be subject to availability and you will be charged an additional $50 USD for this change. The Israir Agent will not be able to assist you in obtaining flight insurance, domestic travel or stopovers in other countries. All return flights must be direct from Tel Aviv, stopovers and connecting flights are not permitted on your Taglit-Birthright Israel ticket.	$250*

You are not allowed to leave the trip before it is officially over. Do not make plans to leave before the group is on their way to the airport. Your Taglit-Birthright Israel ticket will be null and void after the dates stated above.

Please be aware that that once your Taglit-Birthright Israel program has concluded, you will no longer be under the supervision or responsibility of Taglit-Birthright Israel or Oranim Educational Initiatives.
