Questions for Group Creators/Administrators
- Do I really need to recruit a busload of friends? No, you don't. A busload is ideal, but you can recruit as many people as you want, but we think at least 5 should be the absolute minimum.
- If I want to travel with just two other friends, do I need to create a MyBus group? No. You will be able to make the request to travel with two other friends during the registration process, so you do not need to create a group. If you want to travel with more friends, you should create a MyBus Group.
- What happens if I don't recruit as many friends as I originally thought I could? Nothing. On the application form, we are just trying to get a sense of how many people you hope to have on your group.
- If I don't fill a bus, who else will my group travel with? You'll travel with other individuals and small groups who have chosen similar trip dates and who are assigned to your bus by Oranim.
- I created a group, but want to switch to a different group - what do I do? Since you created a group, and we don't want to leave an existing group without an administrator, we cannot allow you to switch groups automatically. Please contact eric@israelfree.com for more information if you are in this situation.
- What support can I get from Oranim for managing my group? Oranim is happy to help any group administrator grow their group. The larger the group, the more support we will supply. For large groups, Oranim will have a support desk to help with all aspects of registration, ticketing and more.
- What say do I have in the itinerary? Size matters. If you have recruited/organized a large group or an entire busload of people to travel together, we will be happy to have your input for the itinerary of your trip. It is not an open book, but we do have room for adding specific sites of interest to you or your group members.
- Can I organize my group around a specific topic of interest? Yes. You can define your group as an open group and allow anyone interested in joining your group to join. If you would like to have a trip based on a particular theme, and people therefore join your MyBus group, we will then work with you to make your trip itinerary reflect that theme. However, the group must be large and you will need to consult with our support desk about the theme and itinerary.
- How do we register as a group? Even if you are a part of a MyBus group, you have to register for the free trip as an individual. As an administrator, you should make sure that all of the people in your group understand that they must register as individuals once registration opens (You can read about registration steps here: www.israelfree.com/registration_steps.asp). In stage 2 of the registration process, on the trip date selection form, group members will be able to indicate the name of their group.

Questions for Group Members
- How do I join a group? There are two ways to join a group. You can be invited by a group creator to join their group. The invitation is an email that contains a special link to join that group. The second way to join a group is to visit the Join a Group page, select the group you wish to join and then apply to join. The administrator of that group will approve or deny your request. If there is a problem, you can also contact the administrator of that group from that page.
- How do I know which group to join? If you get an invitation to join a group from a friend, you can click on the link and be automatically added to the group. If you are interested in joining a group and have not received an invitation, visit the Join a Group page, select the group you wish to join and then apply to join. The administrator of that group will approve or deny your request. You can also contact the administrator of that group from that page.
- How do I know in which group my friends are in? The best way to find out is to ask your friends to tell you the group name. They can also ask the administrator of their group to send you an invitation.
- I've been denied - what do I do now? If your application to join a group has been denied and you think the administrator made a mistake, then you can contact the administrator directly by email to clarify the issue. If a mistake has been made, just re-apply to the same group from the Join a Group page. You can also just apply to another group or create your own group.
- I don't see my friend's group listed on the Join a Group page - why is that? If you don't see the group name of a group you know exists, that group is apparently a closed, invitation only group. Ask your friend to sent you an invitation to join the group.
- How do I switch groups? In order to switch groups, you need to login from http://www.israelfree.com/busload.asp under the Switch Groups headline. Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the Join a Group page and you will have to select a group to join and wait for the administrator of that group to approve you.
- I don't want to be a part of any group - what do I do? There is no requirement to join a group in order to travel with the Israelis of Oranim to Israel this summer. If you have joined a group, but now you do not want to participate on any group, all you have have to do is login from http://www.israelfree.com/busload.asp under the Switch Groups headline. Once you have logged in under Switch Groups, you have been removed from the group you joined.
- How do we register as a group? Even if you are a part of a MyBus group, you have to register for the free trip as an individual. Each member of the MyBus group will need to register as individuals once registration opens (You can read about the registration steps here: www.israelfree.com/registration_steps.asp). In stage 2 of the registration process, on the trip date selection form, you will be able to indicate the name of your group.
